Collaborations
Touching Miami with Love (TML) began as a collaboration of Central Baptist Church in Miami and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) in 1994. CBF placed field personnel Butch and Nell Green to assess the community and start ministry. CBF continues to provide the compensation and support of TML's two lead CBF missionaries, Jason and Angel Pittman, our short term missionary, Christy Craddock and annual programming support funds.
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Florida has been a key collaborative partner with TML since its inception. CBF-Florida bought the building that houses our ministries and continues to pay all maintenance and utility costs for the building and provides the building rent-free to TML.
Partners: Local, National, and Individual
TML is committed to developing holistic approaches using collaborations and partnerships in the community. TML does not want to duplicate services already provided. Most of our areas of ministry are done in collaborations with over two dozen partners.
TML belongs to and actively supports Faith-In-The-City, a local ecumenical faith coalition;Human Services Coalition;Christian Community Development Association; and the CBF Urban Team.
We are also pleased to be supported by a number of churches from various denominations across Miami, Florida, and the greater U.S.
Touching Miami with Love also relies on the partnership of local volunteers. The hours that they serve in our programs are invaluable to the success of our outreaches.
