Children's Ministry Mission Statement.
TML works with at-risk children (K-6th grades) to improve educational competence, to provide creative and recreational activities, and to nurture and mentor children through loving relationships.
TML seeks to Minister through the following:
ToMorrow's Leaders After School Program
September through May
Monday through Friday
2pm-5pm
- Children work in small groups with volunteers and receive help with homework.
- They also share in a large-group singing, literature time, geography, drama, recreation, and arts and crafts, Bible, and time in our computer lab.
Summer Camp
Monday – Friday each week for six weeks in the summer
- Open to children ages 5-12 in the Overtown community. Children participate in crafts, Bible, group singing, and recreation activities led by the summer mission teams each week.
- Camp takes place each Monday-Thursday and each Friday, the group takes a field trip.
- Children are split into three age groups. Groups rotate between crafts, recreation, and character education. A time for lunch is also included.
- Mission teams visit TML in the summer. These church groups each plan and implement a week of summer camp. Youth and adults from the church groups team up with children from the program to form groups of "buddies" who stick together throughout the week. The bonds developed between the children and the mission team members are priceless.
