Summer Interns-Goal

To engage college students in an urban ministry experience each summer. Students will work among “poor, disadvantaged and isolated” in an inner-city environment. Experience will allow students to live and learn among the poor while being an asset to the TML ministry team.

Student

  • serve as intern 6-8 weeks at TML – mid-June through early-August
  • work full time each week with TML staff in various ministries – homeless persons, children at risk, youth at risk.
  • assist in administration and leadership of Summer Mission Teams at TML – July Work with TML staff in promoting our four-week Summer Camp in neighborhood
  • Attend several inner-city churches for varied worship experiences
  • Engage in Bible study in reference to the poor and social justice themes with TML staff leaders
  • Read biography of at least one person who has championed the “poor, disadvantaged and isolated”
