The Mission

The mission of Touching Miami with Love’s youth program is to mentor youth with Christ-like love to transform their lives, and empower young leaders to transform their community.

Philosophy

TML believes that youth will be the key agents in transforming the future of Overtown.

Far too many Overtown youth within strained family systems are drawn into a culture of despair with low expectations and high-risk behaviors like promiscuity and substance abuse.

Youth between the 6th and 12th grades are making critical lifestyle choices that will shape not only their individual futures but also the future of our community.

Our Programs

Touching Miami with Love’s Youth Programs serve at-risk youth and provides a variety of opportunities to our youth in our Overtown community.

Students participate in life skills classes, entrepreneurial projects, creative arts, character education, computer class, tutoring, and recreation which are all a part of a broader subtance abuse prevention program. Our youth program provides community service opportunities, field trips and special events for youth in the Overtown community.

Interested in Volunteering?

Christy with YouthDuring our weekly programs, volunteers can assist youth in areas. Our youth need adults who are willing to come once a week to spend time with them and invest in their lives. Volunteers are also welcome to help out as chaperones during field trips and special events.

All you need is a heart for youth and willingness to serve! Our youth would love to get to know you.
